Produced by Tufa Tanz e.V. and Camil Dance Academy: the second edition of the Trier Tango Argentino Festival "Tangazo" at the Paulskirche Trier. This year's theme is the Mexican tradition of "Día de los Muertos." Indulge yourself in the sensual world of tango: the events kick off with a small concert by the Tango Orchestra. Known for their versatility, ENSEMBLE 22 seamlessly adapts to diverse settings, offering both concert and danceable repertoires. The ensemble's talented musicians form a cohesive collective that allows for experimentation with different formats, such as trios, quartets, and quintets, while maintaining a steadfast commitment to musical excellence. This flexibility, combined with the ensemble's innovative approach and dedication to high-quality performances, ensures that every presentation by ENSEMBLE 22 is an unforgettable experience for audiences, leaving a lasting impression with their dynamic and captivating interpretations of tango.

Founded in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1998 by professor, bandoneonist, and composer Aleksandar Nikolic, Beltango Quinteto showcases the full spectrum of tango. Their repertoire spans traditional tango, Astor Piazzolla's tango-nuevo, modern tango, and their own "Balkango" compositions. They perform on a variety of stages worldwide, including prestigious venues like the World Tango Festival in Buenos Aires. With around 1,200 concerts across numerous countries, Beltango has also produced renowned tango shows and collaborated with top tango dancers and symphony orchestras globally. It is their first time in Festival Tangazo, in which they will be performing as a trio:

Level I & II
Adrien and Iro are pioneers in the tango world, becoming the first-ever combined tango champions of Europe, the Middle East, and the United Kingdom for the 2023-2024 season. Their remarkable journey has seen them perform in over 25 cities across four continents, gracing prestigious festivals in France, Turkey, Greece, and Germany, among others. As European Champions in Vals and Milonguero for 2024, and Vice-Champions in Milonga, they have cemented their place in the tango elite. In 2023, they made history as the first and only British couple to reach the finals of the World Tango Championships on their very first attempt. That same year, they became the youngest Tango UK champions of all time. Since 2021, Adrien and Iro have proudly served as the official tango ambassadors of the Argentine Embassy in the United Kingdom. As directors of The Argentine Tango School, one of the largest tango schools in the UK, Adrien and Iro are dedicated to advancing the art of tango. Their teaching methodology focuses on the biomechanics and biodynamics of movement, promoting stability, freedom, and connection. They place significant emphasis on exploring each person's emotions and identity, fostering the belief that every dancer must discover their own unique tango. |
Level I & II
Matteo started Tango Argentino 20 years ago, quickly becoming a European and World Champion and has performed at major events like the Rosso Tango Art festival and on ITALIA’S GOT TALENT. Ravena, who began ballet at 8, mastered various dance styles before focusing on Argentine tango. Matteo and Ravena began their partnership in 2015, quickly establishing themselves as a prominent tango couple. Together theynhave graced numerous stages, including the prestigious Tango Colores and Tango On Air shows. They achieved significant milestones, such as placing fourth in the European Tango Championship in 2017, winning the European Champions of Tango Vals in 2018, and becoming European champions of variation in the same year. In 2019, they reached the semi-finals of the World Championship in Buenos Aires and performed in notable shows like "El Cruce" and "Chique." Their journey continued with notable performances in key European Tango Festivals, and in 2021, they won the European Champions of Tango Escenario at the European Tango Cup. By September 2022, they reached the finals in the Tango de Pista category at the World Cup in Buenos Aires. Since February 2023, they have been performing with Miguel Angel Zotto’s Company Tangox2 and continue to dance at prominent European Tango Festivals. |

Felizia and Reveriano have been a tango couple since 2014 and since then taught many workshops and performed on many stages together. Both come from a classical backround, which they incorporate in their dancing as well as in their approach of teaching. Their love for Tango Argentino strives them to organise big Tango Argentino events such as this one to improve and grow the Tango Argentino community. |
